Graduate Resident 2: Mat Do

Uproot Rotterdam program: Graduate Residencies

Every week a recent graduate of a Dutch art or design course is invited for a work stay in the Museumpark. They show their graduation work and provide a follow-up. Visitors from Uproot Rotterdam are invited to attend their arrival and departure.

The second guest in the Residence is a visual artist Mat Do. He graduated from it Piet Zwart Institute and continues his graduation project during his residency at the sculpture park.

Background

Metropolis M wrote about his final collection: “the presentations by Raluca Croitoru and Mat Do are more sparse, and for that reason alone attracts more attention. (…) Mat Do shows a collection of ready-mades here: hat shelves with a box of tissues on one, in which the Kappa logo is manually punched into each individual tissue. A small sculpture has been placed underneath. ”
