Public Works 2021

Publieke Werken is an outdoor exhibition throughout Rotterdam with work by more than 600 visual artists, designers, photographers, illustrators and image makers on the outdoor billboards. The exhibition was created last year as a reaction to the emptiness in the A0 outdoor billboards under the motto: imagination is better than advertising. Due to success, the exhibition will be repeated. This year the theme 'Everything is possible' was chosen. Works by children and young people are also included in the selection this year.

Outdoor exhibition in Rotterdam

Public Works can be seen from 1 July to 1 August throughout the city of Rotterdam. The exact locations are yet to be announced.

Exhibition in the Maastunnel

Last year a lot of works were hung in tunnels throughout the city, which looked fantastic. This year we therefore chose the most iconic tunnel in Rotterdam – the tunnel of tunnels – as the place where all 600 works can be viewed as a whole: an exhibition in the Maastunnel. From 1 July to 1 August, this exhibition can be visited free of charge in the pedestrian tunnel of the Maastunnel.
