Opera of Things & How we learn the old songs

On Wednesday June 19, Jasna Veličković will give her very last performance 'Opera of Things' at TENT, on her instrument the Velicon. The title of this work refers to the 'internet of things', in which everyday objects such as a lamp or a thermostat are connected to the internet and are given a voice during this performance. She works with sounds produced by electromagnetic fields around electronic objects. Also curious how a charger sounds?

Paul Elliman is also present for his performance 'How we learn the old songs'. A small group of singers will attempt to simulate the sound of upcoming emergency vehicles, such as police cars, fire engines and ambulances, including the associations with power and authority that evoke this sound.

Free entrance.
