Unveiling monument Treubstraat

Commemoration, Unveiling: 18/09/2020
Location: Online

On Friday, September 18, 2020, the unveiling of the monument in memory of the victims who fell on March 18, 1945 will take place. The monument will be unveiled on the square at Treubstraat and Kerdijkstraat.

Due to the corona measures, the commemoration and unveiling will be without an audience to be; via a livestream at the regional broadcaster Rijnmond it can be followed by everyone. On September 18, you can from 10.00:XNUMX am on www.rijnmond.nl watch the commemoration live. Relatives will tell their story, the names of the victims will be read and the monument by the hand of artist Hans Muller will be unveiled.

On Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September, organizers Frank Zwinkels and Dik Happee will be on the square from 13 to 16 pm. Then there is the opportunity for you to view the unveiled monument with them, taking into account the RIVM guidelines. You can of course also visit the monument on your own.
