Nicola Unger - Transmission - Symmetries in Fate

exhibition: 05 / 01 / 2018 - 14 / 01 / 2018
Location: TENT

Nicola Unger presents a video installation at the interface of documentary, animation and dance around genetic and cultural transmission. In her performance, Unger treats the body as a 'container' of histories and the future of generations. What do generations transfer consciously or unconsciously to each other? Do we have control over it ourselves? Or are we just puppets of our DNA?

Transmission - Symmetries in Fate is part of the lively public program that runs parallel to the group exhibition Going Back to Forget takes place.

TENT is the platform for contemporary art in the context of Rotterdam with exhibitions, new productions, educational projects, performances and events with makers from the city and beyond.
