Friday Night Art Walk with Bert Frings

The last one will take place on Friday, December 8 Friday Night Art Walk this year's place. The special guest this time is Bert Frings, who has been nominated for the Dolf Henkes Prize this year. The work of this Rotterdam artist is about the existence and transience of things, animals and people. His still lifes feature (humanized) animals. There is less and less room for real animals in our society, although in our experience they do play a major role. In everyday life they are quickly associated with nuisance.

The evening walk is accompanied by art guide Anne-Marie Ros from Art Index Rotterdam. The route passes Fring's personal selection of works of art in the center of the city, including the work of art Mother and child (2001) by Carel Visser. Frings has a special eye for the theme of living together in the city. The evening ends at TENT Rotterdam, where a large number of his still lifes are currently on display in the exhibition Dolf Henkes Price 2023.
