In the coming weeks, there will of course be a lot of art on display in both public space and TENT. New is that this is also possible on Friday evening, during the Art Evening. Not only TENT, but also Witte de With, MAMA, V2 and WORM are open until 21 pm. A free Kunstblocktour guides you past the institutions and along 'our' art in public space. It is Art Night every Friday night in the Witte de Withkwartier. Discover the versatility of contemporary art in the Rotterdam art quarter at TENT, Witte de With, WORM, V2 and MAMA and art in public spaces: from visual art to music, from photography to film and more. Free between 18 and 21 hour, the Kunstblock tour starts at Witte de With at 19 hour.

Two monumental works by Frans de Wit in Rotterdam have recently been added to the collection of Sculpture International Rotterdam. That is why SIR organized a bus tour of these works on 3 November. Z-Files #17 carried along Square island in the lake and the windbreak on the Caland Canal. View the photos here.

Facade work Loeki Metz after restorer

Work temporarily deleted

At the request of Havensteder, the untitled façade artwork on Loeki Metz's Zomerhofstraat (1918-2004) was temporarily removed for restoration today.
Vincent Petit, contractor / maker / restorer for special art constructions carries out the restoration.

Gabosingers

Every Friday, between 17:30 PM and 18:00 PM, musicians bring a short song of praise or lament to Naum Gabo's self-titled work for the Bijenkorf on Coolsingel. There are now plans to restore the artwork. Go go Gabo!

CBK R'DAM makes possible

Aljaz Celarc - In Vivo

up to and including 19 / 11 / 16

Got into 2015 Aljaz Celarc an R&D contribution pledged for In Vivo; the development of a land art work of art with the ultimate goal of preserving a glacier ice model. Celarc presents this project with the solo exhibition A Stalagmite for Sisyphus in C&H gallery in Amsterdam. On display until 19 November.

Bel's Kitchen

What do art and cooking have to do with each other? Learn it in the workshop of visual artist Maarten Bel in TENT. The workshop is inspired by the popular TV programs Masterchef en All of Holland Bakt. Tickets can be purchased via the TENT website.

Art Office

Artists registered with CBK Rotterdam and Rotterdam artists' initiatives can apply for an interest-free loan at CBK Fonds Kwadraat (next deadline 18/11/16). Also with Culture+Entrepreneurship you can go for a culture loan.

Open Atelier Anouk Griffioen

Every Thursday there is an Open Atelier in the Pauluskerk. A permanent core of Pauluskerk visitors then takes part in this studio. On Thursday 24 November, the Open Atelier will move to TENT once, and there will be an opportunity to work together and with Anouk Griffioen on a work of art made of charcoal on paper.

On Sunday 27 November, tattoo artist Henk Schiffmacher gives a free tour of the solo exhibition Navigating the Imaginary from Anouk Griffioen. Participation in the tour is free, you can register via office@tentrotterdam.nl.

In 2013 Gil & Moti received an R&D contribution for their project The Dutch Volunteers† The story about their project was recorded by Sandra Smets for the R&D publication which appeared last year. The project can now be seen in the Nederlands Fotomuseum.

Dolf Henkes Price 2016

The artists Daan Botlek, Rana Hamadeh, Rory Pilgrim and Katarina Zdjelar have been nominated for the Dolf Henkes Prize 2016. The prize is awarded every two years by the Henkes Foundation to an iconic Rotterdam artist. The award ceremony will take place during Art Rotterdam.
