From 7 to 11 February during Art Rotterdam Week, visual art is central in Rotterdam. Those days, the city is buzzing with exhibitions, pop-up shows, openings and art and design fairs. The free Art Rotterdam Week shuttle bus takes you to the highlights of this program. Naturally, CBK Rotterdam is also involved in these days: with programs from TENT, Kunstblock and activities to which we contribute. Below are some tips. Coolstof X TENT: Maurice Meewisse

TENT presents Block of Concrete, a street performance by Maurice Meewisse. Block of Concrete is the fourth project of COOLSTOF: a series of performances that are realized by five Kunstblock institutions in the Cool district, around the Witte de Withstraat. On February 11 at 14:00 PM, the artist breaks the object out of the mold. The neighborhood gains control over the object through an envoy.

Rotterdam Photo Festival takes place at Deliplein, Katendrecht. The festival showcases work by photographers with diverse practices and includes installations, video works and analogue work. CBK Rotterdam is present with the exhibition FAKE | TRUTH and selected work by Annette Kisling, Sandim Mendes and Naomi Modde: artists with a strong connection to Rotterdam.

Just a five minute walk from Art Rotterdam you will visit Open Studios Borgersraat. This SKAR building houses 24 artists from Rotterdam who open their studios to the public. In addition, an exhibition of more than 20 guest artists and a selection of alumni from Willem de Kooning Academy. Plus a full program with artist conversations and various installations inside, outside and below the building.

At Keileweg 12-18, AVL Mundo shows work by Carlijn Kingma, Kasey Short and Atelier Van Lieshout. The exhibition consists of utopian and dystopian visions of the future, captured in pen drawings, sculptures and multimedia, and is also the premiere of the first video installation by Atelier Van Lieshout.
