Sculpture park Uproot Rotterdam is a project by Studio Makkink & Bey, and consists of works of art that were placed in the city during the reconstruction. They were made special for Uproot Rotterdam as it were 'uprooted' from their neighborhoods and neighborhoods, and temporarily moved to the Museum Park. The park is 24 / 7 accessible, except during De Parade.

This 528-page book was written by Siebe Thissen (head of BKOR) and contains a foreword by Sjarel Ex and a photo essay by Otto Snoek. BKOR proudly presents the premiere of in collaboration with the AFFR Holes in the wall, a film about the special collaboration between artists and architects in the reconstruction period. Z-Files #16 starts with a conversation between Jord den Hollander (architect, filmmaker and founder of the AFFR) and the maker of the film, Jan Dirk Schouten (architect, Schouten Architecten). From March to September Sculpture International Rotterdam offers new tours of the Coolsingel: the (disappeared) history of Rotterdam in 1000 meters of street, art and ornaments. The tours are led by architecture and art guide Marly Weemen (Fridays, 17:15 pm) or by artist Wim Konings (Sundays, 15:00 pm).

1970 - With the cup on the snap - 2016

In 1970, Feyenoord was the first Dutch football club to win the European Cup on 6 in May. Supporters could have their picture taken with the won cup. In 2016, visual artist John Blaak photographed a number of supporters from the past with the cup in the hall of the Rotterdamse Schouwburg. The photos of the supporters from 1970 can be seen together with those of 45 years later on the Mediawand of the Rotterdamse Schouwburg.

Sculpture International Rotterdam pays tribute and lament to the world-famous statue of Naum Gabo in front of the Bijenkorf every Friday from 17:30 PM - 18:XNUMX PM, in order to draw extra attention to it. While North Sea Round Town, on June 24, July 1 and July 8, young promising jazz musicians will bring special expressions of support to the picture.

The pop-up space Nafer Loves You Supermarket is a project by visual artist Navin Thakoer, with a continuous program of exhibitions and events about the Rotterdam underground scenes and immigrant cultures from the 80s, 90s and 00s.
