Auction the Spectator

Tonight the illustrious annual auction of De Ziechouw will take place in the TENT gym. Thirty works of art by contemporary artists, photographers and designers including Olphaert den Otter, Anouk Griffioen, Kuin Heuff, Willem Besselink and Ruben Dario Kleimeer will be auctioned.

HERE / THERE in the Kunsthal

The Maastunnel 2017 year exists in 75. For this occasion, the Kunsthal is devoting an exhibition to the oldest traffic tunnel in the Netherlands. In Our Tunnel there is also a special role for the artwork HERE AND THERE, which Vesta Kroese realized in 2011 on behalf of CBK R'DAM.

CBK Fonds Kwadraat

Carina Hesper - Like a pearl in my hand

In 2016, CBK Fonds Kwadraat lent a total of € 29.200 to Rotterdam artists. They realized various projects with the help of an interest-free loan. For example, Carina Hesper made a photo book, which will be presented in FOAM on January 19. The next deadline in 2017 is January 22, 2017.

Meet the nominees for the DHP 2016

As part of the Dolf Henkes Prize 2016, TENT presents two events about the four nominated artists. On January 19 the work of Rory Pilgrim will be viewed, and Daan Botlek will talk about their project with fellow artists Pim Palsgraaf and Willem Besselink. If Paradise Is Half As Nice. On 22 January it's Rana Hamadeh and Katarina Zdjelar's turn.

Map as a tribute to an avenue

Coolsingel floor plan

Sculpture International Rotterdam proudly presents a new map of the Coolsingel with a focus on all artworks and the buildings with ornaments that can be found on this striking street. It is SIR's final accord of seven years of pioneering work and experiment that was carried out on and around Rotterdam's only real city boulevard.

The Research & Development (R&D) scheme has been implemented by the CBK Rotterdam since 2010 and gives Rotterdam visual artists the opportunity to develop and deepen their professional practice through exceptional research. The next registration round closes on Friday, January 27 at 23 p.m.

Last Coolsingel winter tour

Register now for the last winter tour of the Coolsingel: In December and January Sculpture International Rotterdam offered tours of the Coolsingel with architecture guide Marly Weemen. Central to this walk are the masterpieces from the SIR collection, reconstruction art, architecture and dozens of ornaments.

Sculpture International Rotterdam presents the exhibition in collaboration with Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art Rotterdam Cultural Histories #10 about the realization of Naum Gabo's constructivist sculpture on Coolsingel. This year the artwork will be restored.
