Publication: Temporary Work Contribution PPR

It is March 2020, the coronavirus has the world in its grip. In the Netherlands, almost all public life is shut down during the first lockdown. The effect is disastrous for artists – exhibitions and commissions are cancelled, side jobs in museums, catering and schools are cancelled.

To help artists maintain their professional practice during this difficult period, CBK Rotterdam launched the Temporary Work Contribution Production, Presentation and Research (PPR) for visual artists who are registered with CBK Rotterdam. Divided over two rounds in 2020 and 2021, almost two hundred artists received a contribution. The result is bundled in this publication in which we, together with a few artists, look back and look forward.
