PODCAST: WORK TITLE
Working Title is a podcast about how people work in the arts. In 2021, Alix de Massiac and Zoë Dankert will investigate how work in art is and is not regulated.
On the basis of 150 conversations, cast in ten episodes, Werktitel creates a picture of the art field and the labor problems and issues that people encounter within it. For this, Werktitel talks to all kinds of people, at every level and of all ages. People in front of and behind the scenes, freelance and employed. These are artists, fundraisers, directors, education staff, interns, writers, slashers, program makers, editors, communication staff, curators, exhibition builders and people who have retired. For example, Werktitel establishes new relationships between workers and sheds light on the stories we tell each other in art from several sides.
The episodes are online every three weeks and each highlight a different story from the art sector. The podcast bundles and shares the knowledge and experiences of a wide group of people. Werktitel would like to contribute to strengthening the mutual connections in the sector and to strengthen the discussion about a better position and appreciation for work in art within and outside the sector.
