CBK ROTTERDAM IS LOOKING FOR ADVISORS

Are you an artist, maker or doer with a visual background? Or an expert or critic with an art historical background? Do you have an affinity with the cultural Rotterdam network and are you interested in how artists develop?

As of May 1, 2024, CBK Rotterdam is looking for advisors for the committee of the revised R&D scheme, a financing scheme that will give Rotterdam visual artists a boost and deepen their work. This arrangement focuses on the process, not the result.

Artists, makers and doers with a visual background, experts with an art historical background or art critics are invited to register. When composing the committee, attention is paid not only to expertise, knowledge and experience within a specific field, but also to a representative one representation of different cultural backgrounds, different ages and networks. Affinity with the Rotterdam cultural network is an advantage.

Nature of the arrangement

The scheme is intended to enable Rotterdam visual artists to develop and increase their visibility. The scheme receives applications from individual visual artists registered with CBK Rotterdam.

Committee working methods

The advisory committee meets three times a year, including once online. The committee consists of a chairman, a minute taker and four advisors. The advisors individually assess the applications, which are briefly discussed together during the meetings. The first round of meetings will be on July 15 and 16, 2024.

compensation

Advisors receive compensation (attendance pay) and travel expenses.
