In recent months, Buitenplaats Brienenoord – dominated by the project Waterworks – a sanctuary for Maud van den Beuken where she built the work together with the technical cooperation of Leander Pot (Buitenplaats Brienenoord) The Raft. The work was constructed with the materials that were present on the Island.

With the movement of the river, you are invited to Rotterdam Art Weekend of 1th of July together with Maud van den Beuken The Raft to move forward. The ambition is to sail around the island via the Nieuwe Maas and the Zuiddiepje.

In the river trips you explore the bottom of the river and the framework of the island with her. She navigates over the water by means of the sonar measurements that she made of the river bed in collaboration with Van Oord. The Raft forms a place to connect us directly to the river.

At irregular times you can sail from the Island to The Raft. Because the speed and location depend on the flow of the river, it is not possible to book your participation in advance.
