Walk along new paintings in Middelland

tour: 27 / 09 / 2018
Location: Middellandplein

An artwork with the title has been realized on the corner of Claes de Vrieselaan and Volmarijnstraat The Nomad. It is an artist design Sidi el Karchi. In the facade frame on the corner of Hendrik Sorchstraat and Middellandstraat, a work of art has been realized with the title The Power of Love a draft of Efrat Zehavi (she recently presented her Anonymous Glossy in TENT).

The new paintings are part of the program Beautiful, More Beautiful, Middle Country of the Liveability working group, which took the initiative to provide walls and empty façade frames with an artistic interpretation. Both artists were nominated by BKOR (the Visual Arts & Public Space program of CBK Rotterdam) in consultation with the working group and the owners of the buildings. Rob Overkamp, chair of the Liveability working group: “Variety or diversity was central to every choice of the working group. Just like the neighborhood, we also want art and poetry with a versatile character. "

On Thursday 27 September five works of art and poems (including the paintings of Zehavi and El Karchi) on facades in Middelland will be festively opened with a walk. Everyone can connect from 16 hours and enjoy readings by poets and artists.
