TENT 20 | TENT Family | Writing workshop & Short Movie with Raoul de Jong

For kids from 9 to 12 year

TENT has been in existence for 20 year and to celebrate this, a team of professionals is going to record a Short Movie with you that will make the world a bit more beautiful. We are already going to you speechend capture. What do you think is needed to improve the world and what message do you have for humanity? Before the camera turns, the word arts are first practiced. On Sunday 29 September you can participate in a writing workshop with writer Raoul de Jong during TENT Family, after which we will summarize all the wonderful messages into a Short Movie; Change the world by dreaming.

What are we going to do exactly?
The day at 12.00 starts with a writing workshop by writer, dreamer and adventurer Raoul de Jong.  He will soon teach you how to write a brilliant speech. What do you think is needed to improve the world and how do you summarize this well? Learn from Raoul how you can capture your dreams in written words. Are you satisfied with your message? Then you share your dream, your speech, with the rest of the world by speaking it out loud in front of the camera. Filmmaker Douwe van der Werf turns this into a Short Movie. In short, a workshop that you cannot miss if you want to improve your skills as a world improver. When the film is finished, you will receive one from TENT by e-mail. Just a gift, because it's our birthday.

Who are we looking for?
TENT is looking for small people with big dreams! (9 up to 12 year).

Participation costs 2,50 per child.

Where and when does the workshop take place?
The workshop takes place on Sunday 29 September of 12.00-14.00, in TENT at children's studio WARTAAL -Atelier voor Woord en deed.

WARTAAL - Workshop for Woord en Daad
TENT and Theater Rotterdam joined forces at the start of the summer and transformed the TENT gym into a performance lab for children from 4 to 12 years (and for everyone who also feels like a child afterwards). In this space, children discover at their own pace, their own level and in their own way what performance art is and does. It is a play, make and discovery site in which visitors are challenged to shape their view of the world. The theme of this studio is next to performance; language, in all its forms; written language, invented language, spoken language, visual language, secret language, foreign language, baby language, language with different writing. Letters play the leading visual role, but they also regularly lose their meaning.
WARTAAL -Atelier voor Woord en Daad is open for the last time on Sunday 29 September and moved to Theater Rotterdam during the autumn holidays.
