Takeover #1: Concrete Blossom

Event: 14 / 07 / 2017
Location: TENT

Studio Narrative is organizing the first takeover in TENT on Friday 30 June. Concrete Blossom takes over TENT as part of the exhibition BLUEPRINT: Whose urban appropriation is this?. This event starts at 19: 00 hour. Tickets are available on the TENT website.

Concrete Blossom is a collective that has been committed to a city where everyone can do justice, and that is necessary. More and more often they see that diversity is celebrated in Rotterdam without really embracing it. Too often, multicultural Rotterdam is the cosmopolitan lifestyle decor of progressive middle class people. A missed opportunity if you ask them. Because let's be honest, the city would still be cool if diversity meant more than breakdancers, spoken word and brass bands. With the approaching municipal elections in 2018, it's time to redefine how we organize this city. Time to take over the city.

Takeover #1 will be an evening where cultural innovators, veterans and other city makers talk to you and each other about inclusiveness and urban appropriation.
