LIZA WOLTERS IS AT HOME AT TENT

With a public program in TENT, program maker Gyonne Goedhoop invites ten Rotterdam makers and the public to explore what identity means today. Multiperspectivity is central to this. With sounds of different experiences, perceptions and thoughts, which do not sound the same but are equally valuable and together create space for marginalized perspectives, in all their strength and vulnerability. Liza Wolters is a guest on Friday 1 March.

The language, form and tone that they choose is just as specific and specific as the story they want to give us. The shape of the monologue gives them the space to create new perspectives or to share stories that have not been heard in the public domain. It is also a way to claim space, in the city, in contemporary culture and society, and in TENT as a platform in the city. The audience is asked to listen, so as to make room for these perspectives, without directly breaking in with their own story or perspective. Attentive listening not as a passive, but as a constructive activity, a way to create space for each other.
