First Steps Art Walk

CBK Rotterdam and Art Index Rotterdam pay homage to 750 years of Rotterdam - with a free one First Steps art walk on Saturday, September 19. During this walk, the history of Rotterdam's origins and its dynamic life will be discussed on the basis of a surprising selection of public art.

The walk starts with a striking new artwork by artist Ben Zegers - Everyone is dead except us. After that, a descent into Markthal is planned for traces of the past. In the street scene attention is drawn to Poetry and it reflects on what has been lost and what is yet to come.

During this walk, art guide Anne-Marie Ros lets you experience the 'history' of the city through art.
