COOL DUST x MAMA: Geo Wyeth - CrosxxxSing the Song
This season you will find even more art in the Cool district. In addition to the weekly Art evenings where you get free access to the contemporary art institutions in the Rotterdam Art Quarter every Friday evening between 18.00 and 21.00 hours, there will also be a lot going on in the streets in the coming months.
The new series COOL FABRIC is kicked off by MAMA, who CrosXXXSing the Song presents: a series of workshops and a performance by the multidisciplinary artist Geo Wyeth from New York. Wyeth uses the idea of crossing over - between gender, ideas and culture - and asks, how and when do we cross? A group of young people join Wyeth for a series of workshops that culminate in a piece of musical street theater. The performance can be viewed free of charge from 17:00 PM - 17:30 PM, at the intersection of Witte de Withstraat and William Boothlaan.

The Kunstblock institutions MAMA, WORM, V2_, TENT Rotterdam and Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art have invited various artists and collectives to realize special projects. Every month from September 2017 to May 2018 there is a surprising performance, performance, intervention or installation in the Cool neighborhood. The COOLSTOF projects also take place on Friday evening, during De Kunstavond. The first COOLSTOF edition was a performance by Geo Wyeth for Showroom MAMA in September 2017. COOLSTOF is made possible in part by the Municipality of Rotterdam.
