Coolsingel as a Monument

Which forces move the present towards the future? What obstacles do we encounter when trying to visualize the future? Or is 'the future' an outdated concept that needs to be revised? In the context of Futurosity, a year-long project by Kunstblock in collaboration with artist and writer Douglas coupland, put the two-day Futurosity Summit sharpen our relationship to the concept of the future.

De Summit is the focal point of it Futurosity project - part of Rotterdam is celebrating the city! - and offers a two-day program. The program starts on 18 May with a special edition of the tour: The Coolsingel as a Monument: A tour guide from Sculpture International Rotterdam (SIR) gives a tour of the most striking examples of art, architecture and applied art that adorn the Coolsingel and offers a glimpse into the past, present and future of this important avenue.
