Marieke van der Lippe

In the summer of 2020 artist collective IPIHAN settled on 'De Betonplaat', the former location of the Beton Centrale Rotterdam. They left the comfort of their studios to come up with concepts, artwork and finally an exhibition on the spot. The artists (Pim Palsgraaf, Daan Botlek, Willem Besselink, Ties Ten Bosch, Jordy Walker, Michiel Jansen, Toine Klaassen, Esther Kokmeijer, Regina Kelaita, Leslie Nagel, art and architectural historian Guus Vreeburg) take over the abandoned site and create work from what she presents. Marieke van der Lippe captures the entire process with her camera: the camaraderie, life in a place where nothing is but everything is possible and the final results of this artistically idyllic pressure cooker.
