Beyond Binaries
In a project with TENT that lasts two months, young makers from the WdKA and KABK enter into dialogue with each other to develop work together. Their source of inspiration is the Dolf Henkes Prize exhibition, which can be seen in TENT until July.
The four nominees for this biennial prize –Artists Kevin Osepa, Koes Staassen, Jay Tan and Geo Wyeth– invite their work to approach topics such as gender, sexuality and (cultural) identity in ways that go beyond binary views. The project results in a online exhibition in TENT from 14-16 May.
This student project is part of an annual collaboration between TENT, the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.
