Residents meeting: temporary installation of artwork on Westerkade

We would like to discuss the placement of the artwork with local residents For you my love © by the Rotterdam artist Hulya Yilmaz. This statue has stood at the entrance of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen since 2003. Due to the renovations, the artwork has been stored in the museum depot. The artist approached us with the request to jointly look for a new temporary location for the artwork.

Hulya Yilmaz, Urban Development and BKOR conducted the location research. The Westerkade, between the Rivierstaat and the Zeemanstraat, has been selected as the most suitable location. Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen and the Willem van Rede Fund Foundation, owner of the statue, have given permission to For you my love © temporarily placed on the Westerkade. The installation will take place in 2024. After the renovation of the museum, the artwork will return to Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen.
