AMONG OTHER THINGS, I'VE TAKEN UP SMOKING

In the group exhibition Among other things, I've taken up smoking give visual artists their views on gender and sexuality. The number of categories for indicating sexual and gender identities has recently multiplied. For example, in addition to the standard 'male' or 'female' Facebook offers users currently 71 options for gender identification. But does this actually contribute to the freedom of expressing your identity? And does everyone want to identify with a label?
