All Begins With A
TENT presents the debut of Rotterdam artist Janneke van der Putten (1985, lives and works in Rotterdam). In the exhibition she presents a number of recent works in which the relationships between sound, voice and song, body, time and space are examined on the basis of her personal experiences, physicality and voice. The long walks, tours and listening studies that Van der Putten carries out form an important starting point. Hereby she uses her voice as an instrument to indicate or to feel a certain situation or space, and thus to make the often hidden characteristics of an environment experienceable. The rhythm of nature and the transitions of day and night are leading in this.
