10.000 Steps Art Walk Ommoord – Nesselande

Join us on Sunday, July 30 during the 10.000 Steps Art Walk Ommoord – Nesselande, a walk along art in an old swamp area, where the Ommoord district arose in 1965. This residential area was built according to a design by urban planner and architect Lotte Stam-Beese (1903-1988). In Nesselande, a Vinex neighborhood was developed from the year 2000 with its own beach on the Zevenhuizerplas. Art guide Anne-Marie Ros takes you on this walk of approximately seven kilometers through greenery and residential areas in Prins-Alexander, the northeastern part of Rotterdam.

Along the way, Ros provides a quick explanation of works of art with titles such as Separating roadsThe umbrellaThe white spheresThe Ommoord chicken en Weather vane park and half way there is a small break with coffee. The 10.000 Steps Art Walk is a nice way to look at the environment with different eyes, to experience the city, to get acquainted with art on the street and to meet nice people.
