New artwork by Milou van Ham

The artwork TIME by Milou van Ham is unveiled on February 13. The facade artwork can be seen above the JD Sports flagstore at Lijnbaan 91.

Commissioned by JD Sports, Mei architects renovated the retail premises on the Lijnbaan. JD Sports is located on the corner of Lijnbaan and Van Oldenbarneveltplaats and is part of the 'Lijnbaancomplex' national monument. The starting point for the renovation of the facades was to (largely) restore them to the historic image of 1955. This also meant that new art would be added to the facade, as a reference to the original work that was lost in the 1970s went. This building-related artwork with the title TIME was designed by Milou van Ham and manufactured by Kunstregie.

Siebe Thissen (BKOR) will give the opening speech, after which Robert Winkel (Mei architects and planners) and Milou van Ham will give a brief explanation and reveal the artwork.

TIME was made possible with advice from BKOR and a financial contribution from CBK Rotterdam.

For TIJD, Van Ham worked closely with:

Fabian Huveneers | JD Sports Fashion - Client

Roy Wijte | Mei architects and planners

Tsead Bruinja | Dichter des Vaderlands 2019-2020 - Concept of the sixteen four-letter words and the selection of poems from 50 years of Poetry International with Van Ham
