Work Loeki Metz restored

On November 7, 2016, the untitled facade artwork by Loeki Metz on Zomerhofstraat was temporarily removed for restorationwatch a video here). Vincent Petit, contractor and restorer for special art constructions carries out the work on behalf of Havensteder.

In 1977, Metz made her work for Gebouw Vijverhof (the 'yellow building'). It is an oval relief of bronze with ship's ornamentation. The work has a diameter of 4,5 meters and was commissioned by the Hanno family for the owner / user of the building. That was the Heinrich Hanno & Co. company. It concerned an assignment for the '75 anniversary' of the company. The building and the work of art are expected to be restored in honor at the end of the year.
