Call for proposals: Artist-in-residence in Dresden
Period: May - July 2015

The Goethe Institutes in Rotterdam and Dresden, the art and culture department of the municipality of Dresden, the Kunsthaus Raskolnikow in Dresden and the CBK Rotterdam together offer an artist-in-residence option in 2015, where a visual artist from Rotterdam spent two months in Dresden can stay. The purpose of this scholarship is to offer an artist the opportunity to get to know the art world in Dresden, to make and deepen contacts, and to exchange ideas and advice.

The grant must be used between May and July 2015. The exact period is determined in consultation with the Goethe-Institut Niederlande. During this period an apartment in Dresden will be made available for the artist-in-residence.

This scholarship is available for artists (m / f) who have completed an education in visual arts or comparable studies. Applicants must live and work in Rotterdam. The submitted application is assessed for quality. A jury of experts will decide to whom the grant is awarded. You must submit the following documents, in Dutch and German / English:

- Letter of motivation (approx. 1-2 pages)
- Short biography
- Documentation material of work experience

The scholarship includes the free use of an apartment and a living allowance and work material amounting to € 1.500 per month. In addition, the outward and return journeys are reimbursed once.
